Aloe Dewetii-Very attractive large stemless plants with rosettes to 1m diameter, glossy green spotted leaves, very branched robust inflorescence with red flowers late Summer.
Aloe Divaricata - Rosettes of fleshy yellow-green spotted lvs with reddish teeth on margins, many striking pink to coral-red flowers. Aloe divaricata is an endemic of Madagascar.
Aloe Diyeri - Dark yellowish-green deeply channelled leaves with white spots, red flowers in Summer.
Aloe Ecklonis - Little or no stem, green leaves to 40cm with spotted lower surface & toothed margins, yellow to red flowers, variable.
Aloe Esculenta -
Aloe esculenta grows very easy in the garden. The habitat of this aloe starts in the northern region of Namibia, extending further north in the central parts of southern Africa where the rainfall is much higher than in Namibia.
The Aloe esculenta rosette grows roughly to 80 - 100 cm wide and just over a metre high. The leaves are spotted on both sides and the bright green shading to blue-green leaves shows off very well in the garden. Aloe esculenta does not send out offshoots but the plants form a group of rosettes growing close together from the main stem. The flowers are pale pink with a faint striped orange and green pattern, laxly spaced over the long raceme. The display is impressive when the group is in flower. (Very Limited)
Aloe Mitriformis- Long creeping stems, rosette of bluish-green leaves, bright red flowers in Summer.
Aloe Falcata - rosettes of long grey-green leaves, red flowers in Summer. Like heavy slightly alkaline soil.

Aloe Hybrid Spinosissima - single/branched stem with dense rosette, pink to salmon red flowers.
Aloe Humilis - Broad, slightly incurved green leaves with dewy bloom, toothed margins, simple inflorescence, scarlet/orange flowers. Limited.
Aloe Lineata - To 2m, blue-green leaves with reddish lines on both surfaces, salmon flowers in Summer.
Aloe Khamiesensis -1.5m, simple/branched stem, rosettes of spotted leaves, orange-red flowers in fall.
Aloe Pretoriensis - 2m, simple-stemmed rosette, very tall showy racemes of grey-red flowers.
Aloe Reitzii - 1.3m stemless rosettes of dull green toothed leaves, beautiful bright red fl with lemon on lower side late Summer, easy to cultivate.
Aloe Mudeniensis - Solitary plants, bluish/purplish-green very spotted lvs, branched inflorescence of yellowish-orange to red flowers in fall.
Aloe Greatheadii v Davyana- Stemless rosettes of blue-grey leaves with horny reddish-brown margins, coral-red flowers with powdery bloom in fall.
Aloe Greenii -Stemless, dense rosette of recurved white-spotted lvs, dark purple-pinkish flowers
Aloe Glauca - "Blou-aalwyn", short stem, leaves in rosettes, red flowers with green tips; foubd on mountain slopes. Limited.
Aloe Tenvoir - To 3m rambler, greyish-green leaves, attractive yellow flowers in fall.
Aloe Thraskii - 3m, stemmed rosettes, grey-green recurved foliage, branched raceme, orange flowers in fall; very beautiful, coastal.
Aloe Transvaalensis - Milky-green lvs in rosette, spots on upper surface, branched panicle of flowers to 1m; pink to light red flower in late Summer.
Aloe Ramossissima - It is a slow growing tree (shrub) type aloe known for its many branches and smooth, white stems, and without a doubt the most profusely branched of all aloes. It will form a succulent bush up to 1.2(-1,8) m tall and wide. Bright yellow, comparatively large, tubular, conspicuous flowers in late fall.
Aloe Spikata - To 2m stem, dense rosette, channelled green to reddish lvs with pink/red teeth on margins, "bottlebrush" inflorescence, greenish-yellow flowers in late fall with copious nectar. Attracts hummingbirds and sunbirds.
Aloe Micristigma - 1m single rosettes, reddish-green leaves, simple racemes of red buds open to yellow flowers in Spring
Aloe Melanacantha - 1m, groups of rosettes, brownish-green leaves with black thorns, simple red raceme flowers in late fall.
Aloe Maculata - "Soap aloe", 0.6m; Striking densely rosulate copiously spotted leaves, yellow to red fowers with basal swelling in late fall. (Limited)
Aloe Lutescens - 0.6m, single rosettes, branched red and yellow tipped racemes flowering late fall; from the savannah.
Aloe Speciosa - Aloe speciosa is a handsome plant having decorative blue-green leaves with deep pink to pale red, serrated leaf margins, and dense cylindrical flower heads of red buds, opening greenish white in spring-summer. What makes this species easy to distinguish is that the head of the rosette of leaves is almost always tilted to one side.
Aloe Longibractea - Rosette spotted lvs, long flower spikes, dense pink to bright red flowers with yellowish mouths in late fall.
Aloe Hahnii - Solitary rosettes of spotted lvs, branched inflorescence to 1m, flowers are red to tri-coloured with green, creamy white & reddish tips mid-winter.

Aloe Vogstii - 0.7m, rosettes of dark green leaves with white spots in wavy bands, scarlet flowers on erect slender branches bloom in Summer.
Aloe Vryheidensis - To 2m single-stemmed plants, greyish-green erect/spreading lvs, erect densely multiflowered racemes of yellow flowers in late fall. Like a bottle brush, grows well in alkaline soil.
Aloe Zebrina - Clump forming, dense rosette of spotted leaves, bright red flowers in lax racemes bloom in Summer.
Aloe Excelsa - "Zimbabwe aloe", to 4m, unbranched stems, spreading to recurved dull green lvs, panicle of reddish-orange to blood-red flowers with dark purple stamens in late fall..
Aloe Mutabilis - "Kransaalwyn", red flowers change to bright yellow on openingin fall; grows on vertical rock faces.
Aloe Myriacantha - Small succulent perennial, solitary and not suckering. Leaves in a basal rosette, up to 15, erect, grass-like, up to 40 cm long, linear, fleshy, bright green, purple-brown and densely white-spotted near the base; margins with numerous, small white teeth. Inflorescence capitate, many flowered. Flowers pendulous, two-lipped, pale green to dull purple-brown. (Rare / Limited)
Aloe Ortholopha - Stemless, grey-green leaves with pinkish tinge, orange/scarlet to blood-red fllowers in late fall. Racemes almost horizontal.
Aloe Peglerae - 40cm, greyish-green rosettes with incurved foliage, simple large raceme, dense red flowers in late fall; extremely attractive.

Aloe Suprafoliata -
Aloe suprafoliata is an excellent drought-tolerant species for an arid climate garden. When younger (1-5 years old) its leaves emerge from the stem opposite each other. As the plant matures, the leaves gradually swirl around to form a completely round shaped rosettes.
Aloe suprafoliata leaves are deep turquoise-light blue, edged with red-magenta. This leaf color may shift to blue-green as Aloe suprafoliata matures in size and shape. Aloe suprafoliata leaves have spiky but not harmful edges. Flowers are large beautiful and rose colored, with stalks emerging in mid-winter.
Aloe suprafoliata is one of the more cold hardy aloes, withstanding temperatures into the low 20’s Fahrenheit withoug leaf damage. Aloe suprafoliata does well in pots, or in small or large gardens. (Limited)
Aloe Krapohliana - 40cm, single rosettes of minutely toothed leaves, large beautiful deep-pink flowers in late Summer.
Aloe Wickensii - 1m, upright rosettes of leaves, branched red and yellow raceme from the savannah. Latest revison has combined this species with A.cryptopoda but because of their differences we are listing them separately. (Limited)
Stapelia Gigantea - (nobilis) - 20cm, very variable, compact to straggly, deeply lobed fl buff/reddish/purplish, slightly hairy.
Pitaya / Dragonfruit - Hylocereus blooms only at night; the large white fragrant flowers of the typical cactusflower shape are among those called "moonflower" or "Queen of the Night". Sweet pitayas have a creamy pulp and a delicate aroma. It is also grown as an Ornamental plant, used in gardens as a flowering vine, and a house plant indoors.
