Euphorbia Horrida "MAJOR NOVA" ia a pale Euphorbia from Africa and a conversation piece. This is a very attractive, bizzare relative the South African native Euphorbia horrida v. major. It forms very globular stems to more than 8" in diameter and over 1' in height and has the same chunky appearance as a "barrel cactus". White-grayish green stems studded with thick thorns. It has deep, dark maroon flowers that are extremely attractive! Responds well to warmth, with its active growth period in the late spring and summer months.
Requires excellent drainage provided by porous cactus soil. Prefers bright light and ample airflow. Needs moderate watering in summer, enough water in winter to keep the potting medium slightly moist. Protect from frost.
