		Euphorbia Obesa - Almost Extinct in the Wild
		Euphorbia Obesa is native to South Africa (Great Karoo). At first spherical, the Euphorbia obesa becomes taller with age. The plant has a long tap root. The tiny flowers are delicately scented. They form at the top of the plant .Although this Euphorbia is very common in cultivation, it is almost extinct in the wild, mostly through over-collection and loss of habitat.All Euphorbias contain a white sap that can be irritating to eyes and mucous membranes. If contact is made with this white sap, take care to not touch face or eyes before washing hands with soap and water. Responds well to warmth, with its active growth period in the late spring and summer months. Porous soil with adequate drainage.
