| Buiningia Brevicylindrica v Longispinacomes from Brazil (Minas Gerais). It has probably the longest spines of any cactus. It has a low thick body with long golden spines. Forms an odd lateral cephalium when mature. It will cluster and is a good beginner cactus. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch.Recommended Temperature Zone: USDA: 10b-11 Minimum Avg. Temperature: 55°F (13°C) Sun Exposure: Full sun. Protect from frost. Seed grown. Provide with ample airflow. Porous cactus soil with excellent drainage. Water when soil is dry to the touch. Allow soil to drain thoroughly before watering again. Do not water much in the winter.Protect from frost.
